Unicorn Hospitality Signs Hotel Management Agreement for SunHills Hotel & Residence Layan Phuket

Unicorn Hospitality has signed a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) for SunHills Hotel & Residence, a major 430-key hospitality development in Layan, Phuket, further expanding the Bangkok-based hotel management company's growing portfolio in Thailand.

Scheduled to open in 2028, SunHills Hotel & Residence is being developed as an upper upscale hospitality destination in one of Phuket's established resort areas. Under the agreement, Unicorn Hospitality will support the project through its development and pre-opening phases before assuming responsibility for the ongoing management of the property.

The appointment encompasses concept development, master planning, technical services, pre-opening services and hotel management, giving Unicorn Hospitality an integrated role from development through to operations.

SunHills Hotel & Residence will comprise 430 keys and forms part of Unicorn Hospitality's expanding development pipeline across Thailand and Southeast Asia.

A Long-Term Partnership from Development to Operations

The Hotel Management Agreement reflects Unicorn Hospitality's owner-focused approach to hospitality development, combining development advisory with operational expertise from the early stages of a project.

Working alongside the SunHills development team, Unicorn Hospitality will provide operational input throughout the planning and development process to help ensure that the property's design, facilities, systems and guest journey are aligned with the requirements of a professionally managed hospitality operation.

This involvement will continue through the pre-opening phase, including preparations for the transition from development to full hotel operations ahead of the planned 2028 opening.

Following opening, Unicorn Hospitality will assume responsibility for the management supported by its corporate capabilities across operations, revenue management, sales and distribution, e-commerce, digital marketing and financial performance.
